Playdates and Potty Training

Abbey Kellen will be 2 on May 1st. I swear she's closer to 13. She really has a mind of her own and is *very* independent. She's really trying to get the hang of this potty training thing. Neither of us have really been pushing her either. She started asking to go so we took her. Now she wants to go all the time. Which is good. She just doesn't have the timing just right. She will ask to go to the potty either as she is going in her diaper or immediately after. I know this is a good thing and we are going to continue to encourage her. I just don't want to push her and have her scared of the potty!!!!

AK's first playdate ever was with Maya from "school". They were teeny and weren't quite sure what was going on.
They were roughly a year old each. They just kind of crawled around while Michelle and I did some crafting for the daycare teachers. Michelle and I took both the girls to the McWane science center this past weekend. They had a blast!!! (We did too!) Abbey Kellen and Maya are *much* bigger now and are very funny young ladies!

Thursdays Thirteen

Apparently this is the "in" thing to do on blogs...... :)

1. In the past 36 hours, I have developed some sort of addiction to salsa. I have eaten it for breakfast, lunch and dinner yesterday and today.

2. Abbey Kellen's 2nd birthday is May 1st. I have booked everything except the cupcakes/cake. It's only March 11th. Sad- I know.

3. Ben's birthday is April 13th. I've done nothing for this. Sorry Ben.........

4. I miss our dogs. TREMENDOUSLY. They have gone to live in Jasper for almost a year now while we try to sell our condo. I miss the little boogers.

5. They're doing construction at my office and it makes my temper a *whole lot* shorter. All the hammering and drilling.......ugh!

6. Ben and I have been together for 9 years. **NINE YEARS** That's a long time! Somedays it feels like we just started dating. Then other days- I feel like we've been together for 100 years.

7. AK's friends at school think she's a chew toy. She gets bitten at least once a week. A lot of the time it's in the face. Poor thing.

8. Ben and I both think Abbey Kellen is the smartest child in the world. She can count to 7. She speaks really well. We think she's fantastic.

9. I'm currently taking real estate classes online. They're quite possibly the most boring thing ever created.

10. I have some fantastic co-workers. They're super entertaining. I'm lucky to have them. (the ones I like, that is!!!)

11. In the next 2 weeks- I will have 2 new baby cousins. Sophie Grace and John Michael will be here any day now and I can NOT wait!!

12. I like to craft. Sew, paint, make thing-a-ma-jigs, etc. I really wish I had more time to be able to do those types of things.

13. I think I'm starting to like this blogging thing. It seems to be therapeutic. :)

I caved.

I've been completely against these stupid things from the beginning. However- I'm beginning to appreciate their existence. I love to read other blogs and I don't write my own. Seems kinda wrong doesn't it?

So here goes. I'm going to *attempt* to update this blog at least once a week. I promise to do more if we experience any major developments in our otherwise boring daily routines.
